In July 2024, AET was awarded the contract to design, construct, and commission Mobile Energy Systems or MES. by the US AID and RTI, the grantee. While the contract was halted temporarily in January 2025, The US State Dept agreed to continue the program. Some MES units were turned over to National Power Corp. or Napacor on May 19, 2025 at a ceremony presided over by the US Ambassador to the Philippines, Hon. Mary Kay Carlson.
The MES is part of a greater program for ‘Energy Security’ led by the Dept of Energy (DOE), with assistance from the US AID / RTI.
